Monsters of Paradise

An adolescent rogue swaggers through salacious doors

Entering a macelveian morgue a den of ebony mysteries and white lies

Toxic fumes burn his retina

 Rancid blooms perfume the melodrama

Ancient tunes boom in a 80s style dark room

Monsters of paradise drink poisonous aperitif

To escape fates wicked mischief and the melancholy of grief

The decadent dandy pays his way with hallucinogenic candy

His deviant smile and delicious physique

Hides his psychotic pride

A verbal arsonist infamous for causing camp uproar

Shouts his name in vain

Has her venomous posse scream and act profane

Reeking of cheap booze the decaying and abused

Stained by the fear of hyper mania’s sneer

Another neon night alights

The sleazy quarter

Lust and desire relight their pyres

Has the epicurean beast comes out to play

Dressed in a sadomasochist homage

Behind a plastique visage

He once more escapes

The sneers of his judgmental peers.

Joining the deviant connoisseurs and hungry predators

In a orgy of commotion

Where emotions

Battle or schitzophrenic sycophantic devotion

The decadent beat begins to fade

As ecstatic couples shoot off to get laid

The weary dopamine dancers return to their

Shallow graves

As the  barren streets are swept by the summer rays of a fresh day

Two effervescent youths called hope and love embrace has once again romance begins its new race.
